| Other Info | Performance with the Star of Indiana alumni corps as part of the 2010 Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. Based out of Bloomington, Indiana; Star of Indiana was a Drum Corps International member corps from 1985 to 1993. Winning the DCI World Championship title in 1991, the organization left the competitive drum corps circuit after the 1993 summer season, pursuing several additional performance ventures including the Emmy and Tony Award-winning stage production “Blast!”. According to Star Alumni Association president Nancy Brown, the alumni corps will perform highlights from some of Star of Indiana’s well known programs during its Drum Corps International years. "We plan to not just relive memories, but show what an impact this corps still has upon the activity," Brown said. "Every championship corps today has a Star alum on its staff and we want to perform what we preach." |
