City BBQ in Cincy

I’m in love!!! I am a big aficionado of good meat. Steaks, pork chops, chicken, etc. BBQ holds a special place in my heart. I’ve lived in Texas, Topeka (near Kansas City), and now Cincy (near Louisville, KY). My absolute fav (until today) has been The Salt Lick in Driftwood, TEXAS, near Austin. It is an amazing place and I even have a t-shirt I always wear (Yes, I am stylish). Anyway, I have eaten great BBQ in TX, Kansas City/Topeka, Louisville, and now I am happy to say Cincinnati! I got a bad hankering today for some good BBQ. I did a cursory look online, and Smokey Bones and City BBQ came up. I opted for City BBQ because of the menu/prices on their website. I ordered 2 pulled porkĀ sandwiches (I was hungry and unsure of their size), fries, mac n cheese, and for desert, banana pudding (I almost went for the peach cobbler; next time!).
The meat is of high quality, I got the original BBQ sauce, but they had other choices. The original had a smoky sweet taste, simply awesome. I was surprised with the size of the sandwich as well, it was HUGE. They loaded the meat! The fries were fresh cut fries and soggy like I love ‘em, nothing crispy and fatty there! The mac n cheese was not your ordinary flavorless variety, it was favorable and tasted like it was made from scratch.
I was suprised on how full I got! I wasn’t able to eat my 2nd sandwich (in my defense I hadn’t eaten all day, ok?). I decided to wrap it up and save it for later. I rested (and took some big breaths) for my desert. I chose banana pudding, for those that aren’t familiar, Bananas, pudding and Nilla Wafers. Ummm, yeah, it was good. Kind of like, orgasmic-ally good.

Well, kids I highly recommend City BBQ in Cincinnati. You won’t be disappointed. I give it 5 out of 5 stars!!!
I like this explanation from City BBQ ==>Why is the meat so PINK?
Our meat is fully cooked and well done. The pink color you see is called a smoke ring. This is an indication of
true slow-smoked BBQ and is what gives our meat its unique flavor.
